Kayserbetten "Emma": Emma I (60 cm fixed door height) and Emma II (35 cm sliding grilles)

Emma is suitable for children with severe disabilities, who can get in and out of bed by themselves and/or children who are slightly more active.

Emma beds, flexible option for nursing

The extremely spacious free space under the bed is ideal for care from a wheelchair. The Emma child care bed is ideal for children with serious conditions such as tetra paresis, persistent vegetative state, spasticity of all limbs, muscular hypotonia, etc.

Since this bed is partly equipped with Plexiglas panels, the child can actively participate in what is happening around it. We manufacture Emma beds with a door height of 60 cm (Emma I) as well as 35 cm high slats that can be lowered on one or both long sides (Emma II). Thus, children with limited motor skills can be protected from falling out if they are not constantly watched. In an emergency, quick action can be taken due to the lower grille height.

The height adjustment from 44 cm to 104 cm (top edge of mattress) is equally suitable for care and therapy.

For people who have to care from a wheelchair, the child care bed Emma offers a ground clearance of 66 cm and is therefore ideal for caring for children in bed from the wheelchair.

It has enough free space to use a lifter. With a load capacity of 150 kg, an adult can accompany the child in bed.

In combination with an electric sleeping platform (option KR1, KR2, KR3, KR11 and KR12, see below), Emma can be adjusted to different positions and heights. Moving the sleeping platform up and down (without reaching the end position) and varying the loads can increase the tilting (see photos below). By moving the platform to the upper and lower end positions (until the motor stops) this effect can be rebalanced. In doing so, the sleeping platform will return to its original horizontal position.
